these are from 1979 and the early 1980. they reflect my early interest in landscape painting and pushing toward abstraction. the “boxcar”paintings are 40” x 44” and oil on canvas. the one on the left is “long island landscape” and reminds my of the east end with its flat potato fields, beaches, and sandy asphalt roads.
